Learning Beautiful Trainings

Computational thinking may be unfamiliar to some. And it can be challenging to incorporate new subject areas into the classroom. That is why we have partnered with the wonderful teachers at Green Ivy Learning in order to offer educator trainings in the Learning Beautiful materials and approach. These Montessori-trained teachers have extensive experience using these materials in their own classrooms, and know best practices for integrating computational thinking into early childhood educational settings. Above all, these teacher-trainers are knowledgeable and accessible, and create a space in which newcomers feel comfortable and welcome.

In our trainings, participants will gain an understanding of the foundational principles of computational thinking and the ways in which Learning Beautiful’s Montessori-inspired, hands-on approach is an effective method for introducing this content in early ages. Participants will learn a variety of methods for integrating computational thinking in their classrooms and how to introduce this content across a span of developmental stages. In this training, educators will receive hands-on demonstrations and breakdowns of each of the materials with the opportunity to practice on their own so that they may develop familiarity with the materials and the concepts. They will be prepared with questions a child might ask, as well as ways of exploring concepts together with a child. This is a collaborative and supportive environment in which group discussion is encouraged and participants are free to ask questions of our teacher-trainers.

We offer both in-person and virtual trainings in a variety of formats and group sizes. Reach out to schedule a free consultation. Our training coordinator can work with you to create a customized training that fits your school or district’s unique needs.

How It Works

This is a virtual training that consists of 3 interactive, live sessions led by official Learning Beautiful educator trainers over the course of 2 weeks. Additionally, participants engage in independent learning through videos, reading, and activities. Participants attend all 3 one-hour sessions together and complete the coursework on their own time. Participants receive a Certificate for 10 hours of Professional Development.
